As a group, M.A.D.U. are
interested in taking on Marine Archaeological Project Work, including search,
survey, recording & if appropriate, excavation & recovery. M.A.D.U. are able to mobilise divers &
equipment, and as a self contained unit, travel as required to assist other
groups or individuals in need of assistance from experienced & qualified
archaeological divers. All the work undertaken by M.A.D.U. is based upon the principles promoted by the Nautical Archaeological Society (N.A.S.) with who M.A.D.U. have a close working relationship. Several members of M.A.D.U. are N.A.S. Tutors, and as a group, M.A.D.U. are able to organise and help with training and courses. But as an overriding principle, M.A.D.U.'s main policy is to:- Make Marine Archaeology Fun |
