A Busy Morning on Hurst Castle Beach

Below is a list of some of the Projects in which M.A.D.U. has had some fun, & hopefully been of some assistance:-

The Diamond
This Wreck Site was designated in 2002, and was the first site designation made by the recently established Welsh Assembly. The first licence to dive & survey this site was granted to M.A.D.U. by C.A.D.W. in July 2002. Research & work on the site has been carried out in an attempt to determine wether on not the wreck on the site is that of the "Diamond", a three masted American sailing ship that sunk in Cardigan Bay in 1825.
2000 & 2001 Iona II Inspection & Survey work on the Protected Historic Wreck Site of the Steam Powered Paddle Steamer the "Iona II" which sunk off of Lundy Island off the North Devon Coast in 1864. The licence to dive & survey this Designated Wreck Site was granted to M.A.D.U.by the Department for Culture, Media & Sport (D.C.M.S.).
1999 Dor Maritime Project Excavation, Survey, Recording & Recovery of artifacts from a Byzantine & unknown wreck in the Mediteranean at Dor in Israel.
1999 Coronation Survey & Recording of the Cannons & Anchors on this Protected Wreck Site in conjunction other teams for Sonardyne off the Plymouth Coast.
1999 Bouldner Cliff Survey & recording work on a submerged forest in the Solent for the Hants & Wight Trust for Marine Archaeology.
1998 & 1999 Promone Help with the laying of a Divers Trail around this Protected Wreck Site on the Needles for the Hants & Wight Trust for Marine Archaeology.
1998 Bronze Bell Survey & Recording of the Canons & Marble Block Cargo at the Taly Bont Protected Wreck Site in Mid Wales.
1998 Alum Bay Off Site Search plus Survey & Recording work in the Solent for the Hants & Wight Trust for Marine Archaeology.
1997 Silver Grey An in house project, associated with the search for a World War II Spitfire off the Bexhill Coast for the Malvern Spitfire Team.
1997 Resurgam Survey & Recording work on the Protected Wreck Site of the first steam powered submarine for the Nautical Archaeological Society (N.A.S.).
