Promone (1998 & 1999)

During the Summers of 1998 &
1999, M.A.D.U. worked with the Hants &
Wight Trust for Marine Archaeology, and amongst other work, helped with the
laying of a Divers Trail around the Protected Wreck Site of the
"Promone" on the Needles at the west end of the Solent. During the project weeks the many teams & groups of divers & archaeologists were based within the walls of Hurst Castle, which provided an excellent atmospheric base camp. |
